An added enticement for breeders and owners to sell their yearlings through the Breeders Sales Company of Louisiana Annual Yearling Sale is that all accredited Louisiana bred foals auctioned in this sale are eligible to be nominated to either the A.L. "Red" Erwin Memorial Stakes ($150,000 guaranteed for sales horses, colts and geldings) or the Elge Rasberry Memorial Stakes ($150,000 guaranteed for sales horses, fillies).
