(Lafayette LA) Stemmans, Inc. – Horse Sale is pleased to announce the upcoming Annual Mixed Sale scheduled for Sunday, January 6th, 2013 at Lafayette’s Blackham Coliseum.
“Stemmans Horse Sale Company is pleased to fill a current void in the Louisiana horse market, we look forward to a successful sale,” said Don Stemmans, Director of Sales.
Entries will close on October 22nd. “The entry fee is $250 with a commission of 5% ($150 minimum) is quite reasonable, and we think will be well received in our regional market.” said Charlotte Stemmans Clavier, president of Stemmans, Inc.

The Breeders Sales Company of Louisiana has made arrangements for thoroughbred yearling owners and breeders to submit consignments through this Friday, June 29.
Consignment forms are available on online HERE or by calling the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association at 800.772.1195.

Breeders Sales Company of Louisiana Mixed Sale Set For October 16 |

(New Orleans, La.) - Breeders Sales Company of Louisiana, Inc. will conduct a Mixed Sale on October 16, 2010 at Lamar-Dixon in Gonzales, Louisiana. A total of 128 weanlings, yearlings, mares and horses of racing age will be offered for sale.
This is the first time Lamar-Dixon will be the site for a sale organized by the Breeders Sales Company of Louisiana, Inc. ""This is a good opportunity to purchase a broodmare, weanling, yearling or thoroughbred ready for racing," said Tom Early, sale manager and CEO for the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association.

The Breeders Sales Company of Louisiana has cataloged 128 horses for its mixed sale Oct. 16 at Lamar-Dixon in Gonzales, La. Run Production Colt Tops Louisiana Sale |

A Run Production colt brought $75,000 to top the Breeders Sales Company of Louisiana’s yearling auction at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center in West Monroe, La., Sept. 27. Oak Leaf TC purchased the chestnut yearling from Elysian Bloodstock.
The colt is a half brother 2010 Ohio Derby (gr. III) winner Pleasant Prince (by Indy King ), who also has finished second in the Florida Derby (gr. I) and third in The Cliff’s Edge Derby Trial (gr. III) and Smarty Jones Stakes this year. Their dam, the unraced Pleasant Tap mare Archduchess, is a half sister to Japanese group II winner Daiwa Carson (by Carson City) and Canadian grade III winner Mark One (by Alphabet Soup).
A Lemon Drop Kid colt sold for the second-highest price of $72,000 to Coteau Grove Farm. Consigned by Donald Stockstill, the chestnut yearling is the first foal out of the 2006 Louisiana Champions Day Ladies Stakes winner Blueyed Lass (by Sky Classic ), who finished second or third in three other added-money events.
